As someone who has navigated dyslexia and dyspraxia myself, I understand that learning and expression are not one-size-fits-all. This has influenced the way I design sessions, embracing flexible, creative, and accessible approaches across different ways of thinking, feeling, and learning.
My Music & Art Story
With extensive experience in music education and mental health settings, I have seen how powerful creative expression can be in supporting confidence, connection and emotional wellbeing. Alongside my work as a piano teacher, I am currently training as a Music Therapist, and my research explores the relationship between music, creativity and mental health. This training continues to deepen and inform my approach.
Alongside my passion for music, I have always been drawn to visual art and the many ways creativity can be expressed. Bringing art and music together allows people to explore ideas, feelings and imagination in playful and meaningful ways. Whether through drawing, storytelling, songwriting or improvisation, these creative processes offer a natural and enjoyable way to express ourselves.
My work has included supporting individuals in both educational and mental health contexts and contributing to music support initiatives. I currently run a weekly creative group within a school setting, supporting children through music, art and storytelling.
These sessions bring music and visual art together in a supportive shared space. Through piano, improvisation, storytelling, songwriting and reflective art making, sessions invite exploration, expression and connection.
I offer one-to-one sessions as well as group work, including creative groups for children and the Women’s Creative Circle, a monthly gathering for women navigating the menopause transition. These sessions offer space for reflection, creativity and shared experience in a calm and supportive environment.
Creating space to pause, connect and rediscover confidence through music, creativity and wellbeing. I look forward to connecting and inspiring your journey. Thank you, Hannah.
